SBRI Honors Smile Power

Seattle Biomedical Research Institute presented its 2007 Advancing Global Health Award to the Shinns at the springtime Passport to Global Health Celebration. With this award, SBRI honors local individuals who have made long-term commitments to improving global health. Jerri's passion for her work was evident in her acceptance speech, and the 600 guests in the audience returned her enthusiasm with a standing ovation.

The misson of the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute is to eliminate the world's most devastating infectious diseases through leadership in scientific discovery.
